Section 1 – Flood Barriers

Hello!

Thank you for your interest in our flood barrier systems.

To provide a quotation for flood barriers, please could you send the following?

  • Width of each opening to be protected? (the brick to brick measurement)
  • Flood barrier height?
  • Photos clearly showing the walls on both sides and the ground.
  • Address so that we can quote for installation/delivery.

Please could you look at the ‘Floodstop Measuring Guide’ before taking photos.

You are welcome to send photos only to my mobile. My number is 07507 855 271.

Please email measurements/information to info@floodstop-uk.co.uk

We always try our best to survey free of charge, but we can only offer this when we are in the area.
However, we can usually manufacture and install our products without a site survey with our clients’ help!
Should you choose Floodstop and a survey is required, we would book this upon receiving your official order.

It might be worth contacting your local Council to see if you are entitled to a grant. It’s usually £5,000 per house/business to help protect their properties. Try googling your local Council’s name and… “Property Level Resilience Recovery Support Scheme”

Other factors to consider:

  • What is the construction and condition of the walls? A breathable waterproof sealant (Thompson Waterseal) can be applied to solid brick and sound condition walls.
  • What is the construction and condition of the floors? Are they concrete?
  • Are there any airbricks/vents which could let the water in? We recommend ‘Smart’ self-closing airbricks. (Link to the manufacturer is on the website)
  • Internal flooding from downstairs toilets and utilities can be prevented by installing non-return valves. (Link to the manufacturer is on the website)
  • Flood pumps are very efficient at diverting floodwater away from the property. (Link to the manufacturer is on the website)
  • Seal all around any entry and exit points of any pipes and cables with a waterproof silicone sealant.
  • Fill any cracks or holes with mortar, re-point if excessive.

Please be patient while we process your quote. We are very busy and will get back to you with your quotation as soon as possible. If we need any further information, we will contact you by email. Should you choose to place your order with us, we will confirm your measurements and arrange a convenient installation date before manufacturing can commence.

I look forward to your reply and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need any further information.
Kindest regards,

Sandie
