Groundworks For Flood Barrier Installations

Groundworks For Flood Barrier Installations

Our highly trained and experienced mitigation engineers complete every installation to the highest standard. But before the installation of flood barrier systems can begin, it is essential that the correct groundworks preparation is completed. The flood barrier must compress down onto the explicitly level ground. Groundwork is an integral part of flood mitigation. Our installation engineers create a smooth and level base to blend in with the existing ground. This is to make sure that flood water cannot seep through. The walls generally need attention as well to ensure that floodwater cannot seep through the sides.

By choosing Floodstop Ltd, you are in exceptionally safe and capable hands with Lance Dee, our Specialist Mitigation Engineer. Lance has 25 years of experience in groundworks and 18 years’ experience installing flood prevention systems.

The quality of his work is outstanding, and he is undeniably deserving of his enviable reputation. Lance ensures that all our flood defence products are installed specifically to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Installation of flood barriers

Lance, and his team, are based mid-country, so ideally based to cover all the UK.
Before starting a flood barrier installation, Lance explains what they will be doing and why and ensures the client is happy before proceeding.

Our installation engineers attention to detail is excellent, and they go above and beyond to ensure the client is happy and that all work is finished to perfection.
Upon completion, they test the flood barriers to check there are no leakages, teach the client how to assemble and dismantle the flood barriers, and feel confident in any required maintenance of all flood defence products.

Lance and his team are workmen that you won’t mind having at your home. They’re kind, friendly, considerate and very tidy. There’s absolutely no cleaning up to do after they’ve left!

But don’t just take our word for it! Many of our satisfied clients have described their installation experience on our reviews page.

Choosing Flood Gates or Flood Barriers Customer Review
Flood Defence Barriers Groundworks

As shown above, the ground slopes to the right. For this reason, a step needed to be built. This was to enable the flood barrier to seal down to level ground. Lance created this step, installed the front door and garage door flood barriers in one day. This flood prevention system is Nautilus® 400 and is 400mm high. To match the new front door, we powder coated the side rails, which are permanently attached. Our clients, Mr and Mrs Hubbard in Ludlow, Shropshire, were truly delighted with our service and gave a 5* review.
